Devotional - Feel like a Salmon?

“ Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”

Message: 

Have you ever seen the power, commitment, sacrifice and sheer determination of a salmon?

Their journey home is against the flow all the way.

All the way up stream!

Their call to go back home to spawn and care for their young is mind-blowing.

Maybe you feel no different,

swimming against the tide of society for your faith...

against the tide of typical parenting...

against the tide of 'normal' family life.

We all need to have our minds renewed and transformed so that we can begin to understand God's will for our lives.

What is truly a good, acceptable, and perfect use of your life for His purposes?

The work that you do is mind-blowing. Never under estimate how valuable and important the commitment to others, yourself or your family is.

And remember...

this earth is not your home.

 “Dear God,

 Many times, I struggle with the uphill, constant need to do the right thing. Help me to keep going. Help me to fix my eyes heavenward and keep swimming because of my love for you. Let me see my purpose through your eyes. This I pray in Jesus Name,
