Devotional: God Thinks You're Amazing!

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me”. Psalm 138:8

MESSAGE:

How wonderful that God thinks we’re amazing…

That He trusts us enough to submit to Him willingly in order to perfect us!

God desires that we become all He created us to be.

He expects us to develop and then use all of our talents, peculiarities, abilities and gifts that he’s placed in us to accomplish all the work He has set for us.

He doesn’t call anyone to unfinished tasks or half-hearted ventures.

Living life is by no means a half-hearted venture is it?!

Having sensory needs takes it up another level – and that’s without any other diagnosis on top.

When God places a challenge, opportunity or goal in front of us, He expects us to pursue it with our whole heart...

Our whole mind...

And soul...

And to perfect that in us.

Not that to perfect means to be perfect….

But that to perfect means to bring it to full maturity and complete in Him.

POINT TO PONDER:

How often have you mixed up the desire to be perfect rather than following the Lord to be complete, fully mature, and perfected in Him?

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

I’m amazed that you should trust me to rely on you. Thank you for believing the best of me. Thank you for believing that I can do this – everything that I’ll be presented with today and tomorrow and the day after. Help me let go of any perfectionism and instead receive your desire to perfect me in your ways and will. Thank you. In Jesus name, amen.
