Devotional: HOPES and DREAMS - blow off the cobwebs!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future."

Message: 

What do your plans and hopes consist of for 2026?

Maybe after last year you'd given up making definite plans!

In 2020 I had.

My OT equipment was all packed up and put into storage during covid and then suddenly, a month ago, the storage company could no longer hold it.

It became clear that is was time to set up again with a therapy space once again and blow off the cobwebs.

Not my plans at this time, but sensing a nudge or rather a strong push to move on!

What about your plans?

How many do you have or do have none at all due to your circumstances?

God has plans for you for sure.

There may still be one or two that you could make that are not dependent on external circumstances.

What about developing the fruits of the Holy Spirit...?

or

just 1, for the year ahead.

Maybe it's something practical, like a home based indoor hobby such as crochet

or

growing herbs.

Maybe it's being more intentional and engaged with the Sensory Super System when life so far this year has kept sending curve balls your way and life has hit in all directions.

Maybe from here on in things will be a bit more normal.

Maybe they won't.

Maybe you've lowered your expectations and are more easily able to ride the waves of uncertainty this time.

Maybe you're just so thankful to have a community that gets you, and all you can do is hang on in there.

God never made anyone to be alone and we are so thankful for you.

Just being here.

How much more could the ups and downs be smoothed by continuing to die to self and to live in Christ? 

Prayer:

"Dear Father in Heaven, at this point in the year, help me to see things from your perspective, help me to see your plans for my life and my family, help me be surrendered to all that you have for me and the work you will chose to do in and through me for Jesus sake this year. Amen."
