Devotional: Spiritual Sensory Integration

“ The Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God.”  1 Corinthians 2:10

Message: 

 The world says that wisdom comes from how we perceive the world through our natural senses. 

God’s wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord and calls for a person to walk in the discerning power of the Holy Spirit, who is not at all limited by our human senses.

Do you long to develop your spiritual sensitivity? 

Taking time out to seek God and find His peace helps us to develop these gifts doesn't it.

The gentle seeking in the moments we have, turning to Him and asking Him first in all those moments for His wisdom.

It is being strengthened in worship, reading the Bible and taking time to strengthen our spiritual senses through connection with God.

The person who walks in Godly wisdom has a “sense” or intuition provided by the Holy Spirit who lives inside every believer.

Thankfully this gives us so much more than we could do, understand, or be inspired to think about as a regular human!

My son suggested doing a 3 day fast one weekend.

I joined him.

Maybe you would you like to try a fast for one meal or one day or perhaps the full 3 days?? (Remember to always check with a doctor about specific medical needs).

It might not even be food, maybe fasting something that you love doing. Making the sacrifice to skip it for a certain period. One of team members swapped her icons for her favourite social media app with the Bible so every time muscle memory kicked in, she prayed and read the Bible instead.

“Dear loving Heavenly Father, I am so aware of my humanness and battles of the flesh. I long to have your heart, see your ways, hear your thoughts. I ask in the precious name of Jesus that you open my eyes, allow my body, mind, soul and spirit to be sensitive to all you want to say to me and through me. Give me your wisdom I ask today. Thank you.”
