Feeling the need for anti-depressants?

“and I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever” John 14:16

Message:

Have you just got to the point where enough is enough?

You try and you try and you try but you’re utterly exhausted?

The feeling of drowning is overwhelming.

Even the idea of getting out of bed brings you down.

You are safe - soft - warm - have no demands on you - and you can’t fail there.

As Christians we have the Holy Spirit with us in our darkest moments.

His Holy Spirit, ‘dwells with you and in you.’ John 14:17

He is more than a 24/7 companion.

He’s a comforter beyond all comforters.

He will not condemn you.

He will not criticise you.

He will never call out your failings in front of others.

He will soothe you in times of grief.

He will encourage you.

He will strengthen you by inspiring hope.

He will relieve worry.

He will lessen or remove pain, hardship or discomfort.

And He will comfort through many different avenues, places, people and services -we pray that Christian Sensory Support is one.

The medical profession is another.

There is much to be said for anti-depressants. 

There is no shame in taking them.

For some, they just provide enough moments of keeping head above water until feet can touch the ground again.

If this is you – Praise God for anti-depressants!

If this isn’t you – pray for those whom you may offer a lifeline to today in another way!

“Praise you Heavenly Father that nothing takes you by surprise. Thank you that you care so much for me and that in my weakness I can come with all humility and ask for your strength, comfort, wisdom and guidance in all matters. Thank you for bringing healing in so many different forms. Help me turn to you to seek what you would have me be and do today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
